A Good Inventory

Keeping inventory of good is good. God is not opposed to us keeping track of what He’s given us. It’s appropriate for households and businesses, it’s appropriate for nations and worshippers.

We have many things, and our time at the Lord’s Table is like a weekly gathering of shareholders. What do we have? We have it all, in Christ. Give an account, give praise to God.

• In Christ we have peace with God.
• In Christ we’ve been given all things pertaining to life and godliness.
• In Christ we’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
• In Christ we’ve been given citizenship in the kingdom of light.
• In Christ we have forever forgiveness.
• In Christ we are heirs of an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading.
• In Christ the lines have fallen to us in pleasant places.
• In Christ we have hope for this life and the next.
• In Christ we have freedom from guilt and strength in temptations.
• In Christ we have one another.
• In Christ, we are His and He is ours.

Remember what you have, what we share, in Christ. Count your blessings as you eat the bread and drink the cup in His name.
