It's Not All Paved Over
We prayed that the Lord would show us mercy by changing the direction of our nation away from protecting and even promoting abortion and transgender lies and socialistic policies. Praise the Lord for delivering us from another round of death culture in the highest office.
Let us keep praying for the president-elect’s safety, and for his soul. Let us pray for wise counselors and for the courage it will take to dismantle the unrighteous and excessive machinery of the administrative state.
And let us be fully thankful and fully ready to work harder. Will these next two to four years be plenty before famine? Will it radicalize some to even more bitter and destructive pushback? Will it be tempting to watch others work while we just enjoy the reprieve?
Instead of a positive reply from the Lord becoming a reason for pietism or passivity, let it push us to work in joyful confidence.
Will Christ be forgotten because “conservative” and capitalistic ideas are just better? May it never be! Christ must not be forgotten by us as we defend life of the unborn and the weak, as we give our energy and investment for the blessing of our employees and customers and neighbors.
This is not a time to take it easy, even if the country’s soil has not been entirely paved over with concrete. Plant, water, and pray that God would give growth (1 Corinthians 3:6 bibref1corinthians3 bibref1corinthians3v6). Let us thank the Lord that our days are not harder, and labor hard for the Lord all the more.
