What is your favorite thing about our Lord Jesus Christ?

Of course we don’t get to imagine Him to be whatever we want. We receive and believe all that the Bible tells us. But we are also finite, time bound, and being transformed such that we pay more attention to different parts in different seasons.

So, when you give thanks to the Father for the Son, what is filling your heart most these days?

That Christ is the eternal Word, God and with God
That Christ made all things
That Christ never changes, He is the same yesterday and today and forever
That Christ knows all things, in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
That Christ holds all things together by the word of His power
That Christ humbled himself by taking on flesh, identifying with us, and is not ashamed to call us His brothers
That Christ forgives sins
That Christ has all authority in heaven and earth
That Christ shepherds us, guiding and guarding
That Christ is sanctifying us for sake of presenting us spotless before Him
That Christ is patient
That Christ has given us His Word
That Christ has given us His Spirit, to teach us and to seal us for our inheritance
That Christ is coming back
That Christ will judge His enemies
That Christ will reward us who persevere by the grace that He gives so that our faith will persevere

You know, for as joyful as God’s people were when the holy city was being rebuilt and repopulated and rejuvenated, we rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory by faith until He comes.
