Faith Changes Everything
Everything good is bad without faith.
Patience without faith is just waiting for the crash. Parenting without faith is a crushing daily burden, or a current abdication resulting in a future judgment. Works without faith are tainted. Feasting without faith is fleshly. Fasting without faith is miserable. Studying Scripture without faith is two-dimensional. Singing psalms without faith is just more accountability. Liturgy without faith is a snow-covered dunghill. Voting without faith is vanity and striving after wind.
Pursuit of righteousness without faith is damning. Seeking salvation without faith is impossible. Reformation without faith is not reformation.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH.” (Romans 1:16–17 bibrefromans1 bibrefromans1v16 bibrefromans1v17 LSB)
The righteous shall live by faith. We live from faith to faith. We eat and drink at the Lord’s Table by faith.
So vive fide, ride fide, sola fide, and soli Deo gloria.
